What a fantastic turn out we had at our Watch DOGS Pizza Kick Off meeting on 11/14!  We are so excited about the amount of dads who are looking to get involved in their child's life. 

Watch DOGS is a new program that VCS is starting up in December for dads who are looking for a unique way to get involved at school! The objective of Watch DOGS (Dads of Great Students) is to engage men, inspire children, reduce bullying and enhance the educational environment at our school. Watch DOGS can be fathers, grandfathers, step-fathers, uncles, and other father figures who volunteer to serve at least one day a year in a variety of school activities as assigned by the school.

Congratulations Mrs. Lorence for being a 2012 Symetra Hero in the Classroom!

Mrs. Paula Lorence has been selected as one of the "2012 Symetra Heroes in the Classroom". This is a community program that recognizes 24 Seattle-area teachers for outstanding leadership and instructional skills during the Seahawks season.

Hero selection is based on teacher’s ability to:

  • Balance the core curriculum with student’s individual needs
  • Build trust among students, parents and the community
  • Invest in their students’ long-term success

Licensed before school and / or after school care for children 3 years old through age 12 is available. Each day is filled with  fun, engaging activities as well as outdoor play to keep children active and happy.
