Curriculum K-6th Grade

Because each student learns differently, our teachers provide personalized instruction that helps every learner thrive. All subject areas are taught through a biblically integrated, Christ-centered curriculum.

Technology is woven into daily learning through the use of iPads, Chromebooks, and Google for Education, helping students develop valuable digital skills. Our shared Science Lab brings learning to life through hands-on experiments and discovery. In a safe and supportive environment, students are encouraged to take risks, create, and innovate every day.

We use STAR Reading and STAR Math to identify students who may need extra academic support. During the school day, intervention is provided through both in-classroom (push-in) and small-group or individual (pull-out) support. Our instructional aide partners with teachers to provide targeted help for students below the 40th percentile benchmark through one-on-one and small group instruction.

Green Team (Recycling)

They also participate in our annual Green Team Assembly focused on recycling and waste reduction.

Athletics

VCS partners with Auburn Parks and Rec to sponsor teams. We are always on the look out for more ways to connect with parent and community volunteers. Our athletic opportunities vary year to year, so be sure to ask what is available for the upcoming school year.

Rocket Club (Blue Origin)

Our students enjoy a special opportunity to learn from a Blue Origin engineer. They discover how rockets work, explore the science of engineering, and build their own rockets. On launch day, students experience the excitement of seeing their rockets fly into the sky.
