Our Accreditation Visit

 VCS has been a pillar in the Auburn community for over 42 years! Four of those years have been spent going through accreditation with the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and AdvancED for our K-8 program. Our school has been thoroughly examined on 8 standards and 90 indicators within those standards, and a 60-page school report with hundreds of documents has been submitted. It has been tremendous work for our school staff, but worth every moment. The accreditation process has propelled us to be a school of continuous improvement. Earning ACSI/AdvancEd accreditation will also allow VCS to be recognized as a trustworthy and reliable educational institution, especially to prospective families.  

We have an accreditation visiting team of five principals/superintendents coming from other Christian schools to VCS on March 24-27.  They will be giving a presentation on Wednesday, March 27, at 1:00 pm, which will summarize the findings of their visit. I want to formally invite all parents, students, grandparents, staff, and any other community members to this Accreditation Presentation that will be given by the visiting team.  Save the date for Wednesday, March 27, 2019, at 1:00 pm. Valley Christian School will be releasing students at 11:45. We invite parents to come eat a sack lunch with your child on campus after school dismisses.   

Schedule for March 27, 2019

8:45 am - Students arrive to school as normal.
11:45 am - Early release day; parents pick up or aftercare.
11:45 am - 12:45 pm - Students and parents may bring a sack lunch to eat in the lunch room (we will not be serving hot lunch). Parents are responsible to supervise their children.
12:45 - Make your way over to the chapel for the presentation.
1:00 pm - Accreditation Presentation (it will be approximately 30 minutes).
