Valley Christian School was established in the fall of 1977 by concerned Christian parents who wanted the spiritual growth in their children strengthened by their school. VCS continues as a non-denominational school developing Christian character in children ages three through the eighth grade. VCS accepts children regardless of church affiliation, race, color or creed.
VCS is approved by the state of Washington and is recognized as meeting or exceeding all state requirements as to curriculum, teacher certification, staff and facilities.
Valley Christian is a member in good standing of the Association of Christian Schools International, which includes 3,575 schools and over 780,000 students.
Valley Christian School builds a solid foundation in basic academic subjects of Bible, reading with phonics, spelling, mathematics, science, social studies and language arts. The first part of each day is spent studying the Bible and praying together. Godly character qualities are developed by memorizing Bible verses and applying these to everyday situations. Children are encouraged to establish a personal relationship with Christ. Chapel services are held once each week.
The preschool department offers classes for two age categories: three-year-olds and pre-kindergarten children, ages four and five. These programs are designed to give young children positive social experiences and to prepare them for the elementary school.
